2013 Chinese Intelligent Manufacturing Cloud Computing Forum Successfully Hosted
June 14 2013, Tianjin—e-works, Chinese manufacturing IT application portal announced that the 2013 Chinese Intelligent Manufacturing Cloud Computing Forum successfully closed. Under the support from Tianjin government, nearly 300 enterprise representatives attended the Forum.
Vendors from IBM, VMware, Chinasoft International, China Entercom, and DELL shared their cloud computing solutions respectively. Deputy Director of Tianjin Economic and Information Technology Commission, Mr. Gang Sun and Deputy Secretary of Tianjin Enterprise Confederation, Mr. Xiuping Wei addressed the Forum.
Gang Sun mentioned that in order to upgrade Tianjin's IT application level and realize intelligent manufacturing, Tianjin Economic and Information Technology Commission advised that:
Firstly, they have to implement MIIT's (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) deep integration of informanization and industrialization project and build up some leading business models.
Secondly, about cloud industrial innovation pilot cities, they need to integrate service resources and build technology support to build cloud industrial platform.
Thirdly, about MIIT's e-commerce innovation projects, they should take leading enterprises and groups as examples and build up B2B industry e-commerce platform.
Fourthly, Tianjin is going to promote agricultural internet of things model projects to lift agricultural production level.
Mr. Wei pointed out that as the bridge between government and enterprises, Tianjin Enterprise Confederation is positively carrying out government's policy and building platforms for enterprises. He also hoped that experts and enterprises can leverage e-works as a platform to have in-depth conversations and discussions.
The Forum also invited Mr. Qing Chen, CIO of China Foods Limited and Mr. Feng Geng from Qingdao CIMC Special Vehicles Co., Ltd. to present their cloud computing application experience and show the value. Cloud computing vendors also presented their solutions. Professor Rulin Wang and Professor Wei Guo shared their view on the practical value of the technology.
It is the third year of the Chinese Intelligent Manufacturing Cloud Computing Forum. As one of the important basis for cloud computing technology communication and networking, e-works will continue the Forum and lead the cloud computing technology development trend in China.

Dr. Pei Huang, e-works CEO gave a speech on Trends and Strategies of Manufacturing Cloud Computing Technology. He pointed out that with the increasing internet bandwidth and rapid development of intelligent terminal and mobile internet, cloud computing technology will have a bright future. He also stressed that the development of cloud computing technology in China is facing challenges, such as security and the application of the technology based on individual requirements.
