2013 Chinese Automotive Industry IT Application Forum
On May 24 2013, 2013 Chinese Automotive Industry IT Application Forum was successfully hosted in Nanjing Wanda Hilton Hotel. More than 100 CIOs and IT Directors from automobile enterprises were invited to attend the forum.
Dr. Pei Huang, e-works CEO
This forum was addressed by Dr. Pei Huang, e-works CEO. He delivered a speech on "Automotive Industry IT Application Features and Development Trends". Dr. Huang pointed out that Chinese automotive industry has changed from rapid growth to moderate growth period, which means more customized customer requirements, more market competition, and frequent technology revolutions. Chinese automobile enterprises especially those local ones are encountering great challenges from manufacturing transforming and upgrading. As CIOs, Dr Huang says, they should analyze and optimize business process, improving overall IT planning and implementation. When necessary, they should introduce in external consulting resources to do consulting, acceptance, and evaluation services.

For the biggest challenge in automobile enterprises, Mr. Chuwen Yan, IBM Industrial and Commercial Enterprise Department Manufacturing Industry Manager shared his view that Chinese automotive manufacturers’ biggest challenge is to promoting operation efficiency and management capability. The key is to strengthen the internal and external value chain collaboration and realize maximum profits. Mr. Yan also gave his advice on this issue.

Based on the theme of "collaboration, high-efficiency, security, cloud delivery", Mr Jinyi Zhou, HP Workstation Senior Product Manager introduced their product advantages for automobile companies.
