As one of the most influential and professional PLM forums in China, the two-day summit attracted more than 800 participants from over 20 provinces, including well-known enterprises representatives from CASIC, Huawei, FAW, Haier, CSIC etc. The theme of the summit this year is “Product innovation revolution in intelligent manufacturing era. e-works co-organized this summit with Zhejiang Enterprise Information Association.

The summit is divided into two keynote sessions—“Product innovation revolution in intelligent manufacturing era” and “Implementation and application of product innovation digitalization” and two technological breakout sessions—digital design and manufacturing (CAD\CAPP\CAM\CAE) and product innovation process management (PDM/PLM). Three industry salons were also hosted on December 4.

Mr. Weixing Pang, Information Deputy Director of Zhejiang Province Economic and Information Commission addressed the summit. “The summit means a good opportunity for Zhejiang manufacturing enterprises and provides a platform for them to learn and discuss R&D and product digitalization with nation-wide manufacturing enterprises. I hope that all the participants can learn something and enhance their digital management and innovation ability through this summit”, said Mr. Pang.

Professor Jianrong Tan, Fellow of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Department Director of Zhejiang University made a keynote speech—Product innovative design and CAD: key technologies and growing trends. Professor Tan pointed out that innovative design is an important part of Chinese intelligent manufacturing. As the foundation of manufacturing, design is also the backbone of advanced manufacturing. Innovative design is the key in moving from imitation to leadership, according to Professor Tan.
