2013 Chinese Manufacturing Supply Chain Management Summit Successfully Hosted

September 25 2013 Chongqing—e-works, Chinese Digital Enterprise Portal, Chongqing CIO Association, and Chongqing Logistics and Supply Chain Association jointly hosted the 2013 Chinese Manufacturing Supply Chain Management Summit in Chongqing.

The summit has aroused wide attention and attracted more than 200 CIOs and supply chain managers. Meantime, authoritative experts and professionals are invited to give speeches on supply chain best practice and latest trends. The theme of the summit is "supply chain management boosting enterprises synergistic effects".

At the beginning of the summit, Dr. Pei Huang, e-works CEO gives a keynote speech. He shared with present guests the hotspots of supply chain management and information applications, the implementation strategies in manufacturing enterprises, and ways of bringing synergistic effects by supply chain software.

Then, supply chain management software vendors from home and abroad analyzed supply chain management challenges in manufacturing enterprises and introduced their solutions by showing practical cases. Mr. Qiang Lian, Senior Consultant of Infor China gave a speech on "logistics information application and supply chain management". By analyzing logistics challenges in manufacturing enterprises from warehouse operations, production scheduling, and supply chain collaboration, Mr. Lian introduced Infor solutions for these challenges and shared supply chain management cases in Midea and Huawei.

Mr. Jian Zhou, Business Consulting Manager of QAD China illustrated how to create value through lean supply chain. According to him, QAD can provide and support supply chain management model that associates with OEM delivery date and QAD lean manufacturing can provide effective TPS support.

Mr. Jie Ren, Business Development Director of QuantumAsia shared manufacturing transportation management system (TMS) practice in P&G China, Mindray, GITI Tire, and FAW-VW.

Mr. Jianmin Li, Product Marketing Director of Primeton shared case of DEPPON Logistics and introduced the IT architecture best practice and SOA middleware products that support supply chain management.

Some representatives of CIOs from manufacturing enterprises are also invited to share their experience of applying supply chain management software. They are from Changan Automobile, DongFeng Sokon (DFSK), Sanxin Electronics, and Tongwei Company.

In the session of roundtable discussion, guests from manufacturing enterprises and software companies discussed about how to realize supply chain collaboration between manufacturers, logistics companies, and retailers, priorities of implementations, and integrations with ERP, MES, and CRM etc.
