2012 Chinese Manufacturing Cloud Computing Forum Successfully Held in Hangzhou

On May 17, the 2012 Chinese Manufacturing Cloud Computing Forum was successfully held in Hangzhou.

Focused on the reform and innovation of IT applications, the forum attracted more than 150 CIOs from the famous Chinese enterprises including Hangzhou Iron and Steel Group, Huayi Electric Apparatus Group, Geely Automobile Research Institute, MINTH Auto Parts Company, HITACHI Shanghai Company etc.

The Cloud Computing Forum

According to e-works research in 2011, although the recognition of could computing is at a high level the application ratio is relatively low because of multiple factors in China. Based on the application status and development trend of cloud computing in Chinese manufacturing, the meeting discussed the important and difficult issues through professional speeches and case presentations.

Cloud computing has been taken as a strategic opportunity for realizing innovation and leapfrog development in China. Chinese government pays much attention on cloud computing and develops it through many programs. Cloud computing has entered Chinese enterprises in forms of virtual technology, next generation data center, and private cloud. It is forecasted that cloud computing will be the fourth IT industrial revolution after the large computer, personal computer, and internet. In the following three years, the output scale of cloud computing in China will reach 200 billion yuan ($31.6 billion).

The CEO of e-works, Mr. Pei Huang, attended the meeting and delivered a speech analyzing the latest development and application trend of cloud computing. Mr. Zunmao Ren, Operation Manager of Wanxiang Group shared the application experience of its cloud computing. IT manager of Supor, Mr. Xingshi Sun shared with the CIOs the application status of virtual technology in Supor. Global mainstream cloud solution providers, including VMARE, SIMANTAC, SAP and well known SAAS based domestic CRM provider XTOOLS sponsored the forum.
