2012 Chinese Manufacturing BI and Performance Management Forum Successfully Held
14 Dec 2012, Changsha—2012 Chinese Manufacturing BI and Performance Management Forum was successfully held in Changsha by e-works, the information IT application portal of Chinese manufacturing. The forum focused on the IT applications supporting development of high performance manufacturing enterprises. More than 100 representatives from 40 companies attended the forum, covering machinery, automotive, pharmaceuticals, electronics and communications, and petrochemical industries.
Dr. Pei Huang, CEO of e-works addressed the forum. He introduced the new tendencies and new technologies applied in manufacturing like big data, internet of things, mobile applications, and social networks.

The first speaker in the forum is Prof. Bainian Lu, an expert in performance management. In his speech Total Performance Management & Risk Control in Manufacturing Enterprises, Prof. Lu specifically introduced how to do strategic management control and operation management control and decision support total solution. Lu's wonderful speech won warm response from the attendees.

On the afternoon session, Dr. Pei Huang made a speech on Manufacturing Innovation Practice & Performance Management Applications. He introduced the innovation practice in China manufacturing, development trend, the market and application status of BI and performance management software.
Representatives from several manufacturing enterprises shared their application experience in performance management, including Wuhan Iron and Steel Corporation (WISCO), Wuhan Aimin Pharmaceutical Company, Qianjin Pharmaceutical Company, and China Tobacco Hunan Industrial Company. Later CIOs had roundtable discussions on difficulties in implementing BI and performance management.
