China's LCD TV market to double to six million units in 2007 and to more than 10 million units in 2008 as the Olympics Games take place in Beijing
DisplaySearch expects China's LCD TV market to double to six million units in 2007 and to more than 10 million units in 2008 as the Olympics Games take place in Beijing, reports the Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN). The growth rate will exceed the global LCD TV market growth rate of 76%, reports the paper.
David Hsieh, president of DisplaySearch Taiwan, indicated China is the world's largest TV market. The global TV market totaled 191 million units last year, of which, 69 million units were made in China, according to the paper.
