Mr. Guangjian Zhang
Mr. Xiang Li, the Vice General Manager and Chief Consultant of e-works gave the first lecture around the IT strategy, planning, and implementation. He analyzed the opportunities and challenges in constructing the IT system in SMEs. Later he made comparative analysis of IT construction in SMEs between discrete and process industries. He said that as the uplifting of Chinese industrialization, products are getting more complicated. On the other hand, software is becoming more important in industrial products involving in every segment in developing, production, and sales process. So manufacturing enterprises should ask no more questions like whether we should use information technology or not, but how to increase value by information technology. Mr. Li believes that IT planning is a process of sharing the same insight more than a simple result.
