BEIJING (AFX) - Eight Chinese shoe companies set up an alliance in the Guangzhou to contest EU anti-dumping charges, the official Xinhua news agency reported, citing a statement issued by the alliance.
Those eight companies are from around 1,200 Chinese footwear firms named in the charges involving 849 mln usd - a record high value for EU anti-dumping cases against Chinese entities to date.
The statement called for the European Commission to make objective and lawful judgments and consider EU consumer interests.
