Visteon JV expands Shanghai electronics plant
Visteon Corp.'s electronics joint venture has completed the expansion of its Shanghai plant to supply automakers inside and outside China.
The partnership, Yanfeng Visteon Automotive Electronics Co., has doubled the factory's size to 30,000 square meters. The facility can accommodate 1,300 employees, Visteon said in a statement.
The expansion increased the plant's production capacity by nearly 50 percent and enabled it to use more advanced manufacturing equipment.
The plant produces center console controls, audio and infotainment components.
Yanfeng Visteon also has four other plants in China.
