Navistar to help China's JAC to build school buses
Navistar Inc., a U.S. truck and bus manufacturer, will join Jianghuai Automobile Co. to enter China's school bus market and export trucks to Brazil.
According to a letter of intent, Navistar will import school buses into China and help JAC to design and build school buses.
The U.S. company also will help JAC sell its light- and medium-duty trucks in Brazil via Navistar's network of Brazilian dealerships.
Last year, JAC started exporting cars to Brazil. It also plans to build a $600 million car production facility there to expand its market share.
