Kongsberg to supply gearshifts to unidentified Chinese automaker
Kongsberg Automotive Holding ASA says it has won a contract to produce automatic gearshifts for an unnamed Chinese automaker.
The contract will be worth 16 million euros (137 million yuan) over the next six years. The Norwegian supplier says its factory in Wuxi in the eastern province of Jiangsu launched production of the gearshifts in September.
"We're very satisfied with the continuing growth we're seeing in our Chinese business, and once again we've been chosebn as a partner for one of the largest automakers in China," said Joachim Magnusson, Kongsberg's executive vice president.
