Bosch to double Chinese workforce as sales soar
Robert Bosch GmbH plans to create about 24,000 new jobs in China to nearly double its workforce there to 50,000 people by 2015, spokesman Dirk Haushalter said in a telephone interview.
The German supplier aims to increase revenue in China to 8 billion euros, up from 4 billion euros in 2010. The company will add most of the jobs in the automotive unit, Haushalter said. The workers will be in development and production, he said.
The German newspaper Handelsblatt first reported the planned increases.
