Ford recalls 260 Windstar minivans in China
Chinese regulators say Ford Motor Co. will recall 260 Windstar minivans produced between 1998 and 2003 to fix a possible steering defect, the Xinhua news agency reported.
Xinhua cited information released by China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
If the minivans were driven in a corrosive environment, the brackets and mounts could separate from the subframe, disabling the steering system.
There was no indication whether the potential defect caused any accidents.
