China's vehicle exports still below 2008 levels
China exported 544,900 passenger cars and commercial vehicles in 2010, up nearly 64 percent from 2009, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) said.
In 2010, China exported 282,900 passenger vehicles, up 89 percent. Exports of commercial vehicles totaled 261,900 units, up 43 percent year-over-year.
However, CAAM noted that last year's exports were nearly 12 percent lower than in 2008, as the global economy has still not fully recovered from the economic crisis.
