LED Applications to be a Key Attraction at NEPCON South China
Innovative Electronics Manufacturing Products to be Unveiled in Shenzhen
The 16th edition of NEPCON South China will take place at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center from August 31-September 2, 2010. Josephine Lee, Vice President of Reed Exhibitions East China - one of the organizers of the exhibition - believes that there will be numerous market-redefining electronics manufacturing products and technologies from around the globe at the show. Among these, the LED applications are set to be a particular highlight. As the profile of the LED industry grows, so manufacturers of electronics manufacturing equipment, test devices and materials are faced with many lucrative opportunities.
Currently, domestic LED application manufacturers are rapidly developing. As the global energy crisis and environmental degradation worsen, governments across the globe are giving greater support to the development of LED technology. LED is widely acknowledged as the fourth generation light source. Additionally, as this technology continues its rapid advancement, it is a commonly held opinion that LED illumination will replace traditional lighting in the near future. Statistical data shows that the demand value of the LED market in China will reach RMB 34.1 billion (USD 5 billion) in 2014. Right now, the market demand for surface placement LED precious brackets in China is RMB 26.4 billion (USD 3.9 billion). It will reach RMB 58 billion (USD 8.6 billion) by 2014. This means the market for SMT equipment manufacturers is set to significantly expand.
This April, Green Lighting Shanghai Expo and Forum 2010, co-organized by Reed Exhibitions and the CSA, premiered alongside NEPCON China 2010. At this lighting show, exhibitors from the LED field drew widespread attention from NEPCON visitors. Making the most of its strong relationship with the CSA, lighting associations and other trade institutions in South China, NEPCON South China 2010 will continue to invite manufacturers of LED backlit modules, LED displays, LED lighting and lamp manufacturers to visit the show and make purchases. Industry insiders believe that applications based on SMT and electronics manufacturing equipment from the LED field will be a key focus for visitors to NEPCON South China.
Through several years of development, technical advances of SMT manufacturing in LED chip production and LED packaging have remained consistent. Josephine Lee is convinced that the upcoming NEPCON South China exhibition will showcase exciting innovations in SMT equipment and technologies and also draw widespread attention from across the electronics manufacturing industry. Manufacturers are looking to satisfy new needs for their industry applications, particularly in the LED sector.
Among the show highlights will be SONY's display of the placement machine for long LED base plates that have a performance rate of up to 66000 cph. The high-speed complex placement machine from Smartech Electronics comes with the world's first placement head that features a dynamic replacement mode. It can handle a large plate PCB of up to 686 × 508 mm and meet the special manufacturing requirements of LED products, among other equipment. Juki will display its JX-100 LED placement machine, which supports long circuit boards of up to 800 ×360 mm.
NEPCON South China, as one of the largest and most comprehensive trade platforms across the SMT industry in Southeast China, is committed to developing a marketing partnership with each of its customers across China's electronics manufacturing industry. The show helps all participants to explore fresh business opportunities that will deliver a higher return on investment (ROI).
