E China's Jiangsu exports more textiles, clothing
East China's Jiangsu Province exported 880 million U.S. dollars worth of textiles, clothing and accessories in the first five months, a growth of 27.2 percent on the same period of last year, according to the provincial customs.
Monthly exports for May were the highest since the beginning of last year at 220 million U.S. dollars, up 52.9 percent year on year, or 17.8 percent month on month.
From January to May, the province sold 150 million U.S. dollars worth of textiles, clothing and accessories to the United States, up 34.9 percent, 140 million dollars worth to the European Union, about the same as the first five months last year, and 120 million dollars worth to Japan, down 1.7 percent.
