Dassault Systèmes Welcomes Chinese Exchange Students

Dassault Systèmes announced it welcomed eight Chinese students and faculty to its U.S. headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Dassault Systèmes (DS), a world leader in 3D and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, announced it welcomed eight Chinese students and faculty to its U.S. headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina.  As part of its commitment to the local business and educational community, Dassault Systèmes hosted the exchange students and introduced them to the dynamic, international business environment of a global software and technology company.

Students arrived in the United States from Tianli International School in Luzhou, Sichuan province, China, as part of a sister-school exchange program with Cannon School, located in Concord, North Carolina.

“Outside of a trip to China, welcoming Chinese students to America is the best opportunity to learn more about China and its culture,” said Cannon's head of school, Matt Gossage. “It also helps our community think more about its cultural and educational differences as we explain in simple words our country, its history, and its future to someone from far away.

Each year, Cannon and Tianli students visit each other’s country and attend daily classes which teach each other’s different cultures, traditions, and international relations.

“Dassault Systèmes has a growing business and substantial opportunity in emerging markets, especially in China and the other parts of Asia.  All DS offices world-wide have a vested interest to contribute to the growth of future Chinese engineers,” said Tom Emmrich, president of Dassault Systèmes America Corporation.  “It was a pleasure to introduce these Chinese students to the Dassault Systèmes business and to show them the many amazing things that we and our worldwide ecosystem can achieve in the field of PLM and 3D.  It is a great industry to be in and we’re strongly invested in growing the Chinese marketplace’s participation in PLM.”
