Liaoning high-tech industry sees booming growth
Upon 'hearing' voice messages, an AI robot can write accordingly the Chinese characters like a calligrapher at the exhibition hall of Siasun Robot and Automation Co Ltd in Shenyang, Liaoning province.
"This is one of the achievements where we deeply integrate collaborative robots with artificial intelligence technology," said Han Tianwen, head of Siasun's AI research institute.
"It can engage in voice interactions with people and accurately decipher the emotions or expectations behind the voice initiator through AI large model technology, generating corresponding calligraphy works," he explained.
Established in 2000, Shenyang-based Siasun focuses on robot technology and intelligent manufacturing solutions, exporting products to over 40 countries and regions globally and serving over 4,000 international enterprises with industrial upgrade services.
Han mentioned that the company will explore rich "robot plus AI" application practices in broader fields and deeper levels, deeply integrating artificial intelligence with various categories of robots to cultivate and develop new quality productive forces in more industries and more specialized application scenarios.
In recent years, Liaoning has accelerated the convergence of various high-quality production factors towards new quality productive forces, vigorously nurturing technology-based enterprises and promoting the transformation and industrialization of scientific achievements.
Entering the production workshop of Shenyang Vycon Flywheel Co Ltd, the flywheel rotates at high speed, emitting a sharp sound, while an electronic screen displays the current revolutions per minute.
"The higher the speed, the higher the energy. Our flywheel energy storage products using magnetic levitation are charged and discharged through speed changes so as to adjust the grid frequency and improve the safety and reliability of power supply," said Li Wendong, president of the company.
Established in 2018, Shenyang Vycon has rapidly grown into a unicorn enterprise in Liaoning province in just a few years.
Liaoning persists in making technological innovation the primary driving force for revitalization and development, continuously optimizing the policy system to support the development of technology companies.
In 2023, the number of technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises in Liaoning increased by 56 percent annually, with a local conversion rate of technological achievements reaching 55.5 percent and a 30.8 percent year-on-year increase in technology contract turnover.
