For Audi last month, the A4 sedan was the growth engine, with sales soaring 87 percent from a year earlier to 13,800. Audi ended the dispute with its dealers in May when it dropped a plan to open a second distribution network.
For the first three months, Audi’s China sales reached 154,270 vehicles, a jump of 42 percent from the same period last year.
VW Group has yet to disclose sales of its other brands in China.
