2016 Industrial software and manufacturing forum successfully hosted in Beijing

September 2nd 2016, Beijing—Chinese Digital Enterprise Portal e-works announced the successful conclusion of 2016 Industrial software and manufacturing forum at Beijing Railway Hotel.

More than 500 guests attended the forum, including Mr. Jinpeng Huai, MIIT Vice-Minister, Mr. Shaofeng Xie and Mr. Xiaopeng An, MIIT Information and Service Department Director, Mr. Peigen Li, Fellow of CAE, and Mr. Shan Lu, CCID President. Many local Economic and Information Committees, well-known domestic and abroad manufacturers and mainstream software vendors also attended the forum. The forum is guided by MIIT and co-organized by CCID and e-works.

The theme of the forum is “refactoring and reengineering: software innovation and future manufacturing”, attempting to study future industrial development and explore a way out for manufacturing transformation from software perspective.


Mr. Huai, MIIT Vice Minister gave a keynote speech on “Industrial software: new basis for manufacturing transformation and upgrade”. He pointed out that the fusion of new information and communication technology and manufacturing constitutes the core features of a new round of technological revolution and industry transformation across the world. In the future, software companies will move to be networked, ecological, platform-based, and specialized.

Professor Peigen Li, Chinese famous manufacturing expert and Fellow of CAE analyzed the value of industrial software as an enabler in achieving intelligent manufacturing. He used many manufacturing successful cases like JAC to illustrate the importance of software capabilities in business progress.

Mr. An, Information and Software Service Department Director of MIIT gave a keynote speech on “Future industry from software perspective”. He analyzed the role of software in manufacturing in terms of product, process, production mode, new capabilities, and industrial ecology.

Mr. Zhenbo Ning, AVIC Information Technology Center Chief Advisor introduced aviation product development based on home-grown software and stressed the importance of industrial software in digital design.

Dr. Pei Huang, e-works CEO gave a keynote speech on Sharing Economy Practice in Manufacturing. Dr. Huang introduced that outsourcing and collaboration is the bases of sharing economy. e-works also built a platform U-made to matching manufacturing and service demands with relevant resources. It can help the demand side quickly select partners and solve their specialized outsourcing demands.

Mr. Wenjing Wang, Yonyou President and CEO introduced Yonyou’s role in promoting internet and financialization in Chinese enterprises. Mr. Naiming Liang, Siemens PLM Software Global SVP and Greater China MD interpreted practices of integrating intelligent manufacturing with industrial big data. Other software vendors includes Dassault Systemes, PTC, Sysware, and IBM.

Large Chinese manufacturing enterprises and well-known experts shared industrial software’s role in business process combing their experience and practice. They are including Mr. Xiangmin Tang, Digital Development and IT Chief Engineer of Chang’an Automobile, Mr. Mengqing Zhang, Anhui Forklift Truck Group CIO, Mr. Chunming Yu, SMTCL CTO, and Mr. Min Zhao, manufacturing innovation expert.
