HA NOI — The 4th APEC Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Fair opened in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China on Thursday, attracting more than 1,000 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) showcasing their products at 1,500 booths.

Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Ngoc Phuc took part in the fair to represent Vietnamese businesses, while Que Huong Green Bean Cake Enterprise made the trip to take part in the four-day fair directly.

According to the fair organisation board, the fair is the largest of its kind, providing opportunities for participants to exchange business experiences and work on trade and investment contracts. The fair also aimed to promote technological advancement at SMEs.

The fair’s programme includes trade shows, technology conferences, trade and financial forums, business matching meetings, and seminars on increasing competitiveness, international economic integration and enhancement of management ability at SMEs.

Trade shows at the fair include exhibitions of a wide range of goods, including autos and auto parts, machinery, building products, environmental and energy saving products, electronics, textiles, food processing, and arts and crafts. — VNS
