ADB says China’s economic growth to reach 9.5% in 2006
China’s economic growth will probably reach 9.5% in 2006, higher than the official objective of 8% growth identified by Beijing.
Apr. 12, 2006 (China Knowledge) - According to the latest annual economic forecast report released by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), China’s economic growth will probably reach 9.5% in 2006, higher than the official objective of 8% growth identified by Beijing.
The report believes that in the coming two years, despite continuous rise in energy prices, the cost of manufacturing will decrease moderately and inflation is expected to be kept at about 2% to 3%.
In addition, the World Bank also believes that China’s economic growth will reach over 9% in 2006.
