Beijing to host NGV Expo China 2014
Sixth China International NGV and Gas Station Equipment Expo, or NGV Expo China 2014, organized by the China Industrial Gases Industry Association will be held in Beijing on Sept 24.
The expo is the biggest among its kind and will take place at the Beijing Agricultural Exhibition Center.
Up to 300 companies from more than 20 countries and regions will attend the event to showcase their latest technology and equipment.
Pu Chungan, secretary general of the association, said natural gas, as a clean energy resource, will gradually become the major fuel for auto in urban areas and the country will embrace the golden development period for automotive natural gas in the next 10 years.
According to the national development plan, the output of natural gas vehicle will reach 1.2 million annually in 2020. By the end of 2013, China already had 5,000 gas filling stations in operation or were being built.
