Germany : China makes up for 25% of garment imports

Federal Statistical Office Germany reports that the total garment imports for 2005 touched 15.997 billion euros, of which Chinese imports accounted for almost 25 percent making it the country’s top supplier.
Of the 3.994 billion euros worth of products from China, trousers and t-shirts were chief garments priced at about 4.2 and 2 euros each respectively.
Other main garment and apparel suppliers included Bangladesh, Bulgaria, India, Indonesia, Italy, Turkey, Poland, Romania, Holland, France and Tunis.
