Brilliance China's sales advance 10% in 2013
Brilliance China Automotive Holdings, a state-owned light-vehicle maker, said sales of cars, light buses and trucks marketed under its own brands rose 10 percent year-on-year to 570,000 units in 2013.
But the company lost market share, as industry sales rose 14 percent in 2013.
The company's sales of Brilliance-brand cars surged 20 percent to 182,000 units, while sales of its Jinbei light buses and trucks edged up 6 percent to 388,000 units.
Brilliance, headquartered in the northeast China city of Shenyang, is listed in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
In Shenyang, Brilliance also runs a 50-50 joint venture with BMW AG that produces the BMW 3 series, 5 series and X1 models.
