PTC Names Robert Kocis Senior Divisional Vice President of Asia Pacific Sales and Distribution
PTC (Nasdaq: PMTC) announced today it has named Robert "Bob" Kocis as senior divisional vice president of Asia Pacific Sales And Distribution. In this role, Kocis will have strategic sales leadership and general management oversight responsibilities for PTC's operations across Asia, including the company's facilities in China, India, Korea, and Taiwan. He will be based at PTC's Asia Pacific headquarters in Shanghai, China.
"With more than 20 years of experience in sales leadership and business management roles, Bob is highly qualified to lead PTC's Asia Pacific region," said Robert Ranaldi, PTC's executive vice president of Worldwide Sales and Distribution. "Under his leadership over the past decade, PTC's channel sales organization has achieved tremendous success and earned widespread industry recognition. In this new role, he will lead a great team across a region that not only has consistently contributed to PTC's success, but is poised for strong growth in the future."
Kocis joined PTC in 1998 and has since served in a variety of positions of increasing responsibility within the company's sales organization. Most recently, as divisional vice president, Worldwide Channel Sales, he was responsible for developing and implementing PTC's channel strategy and program. In this role he helped architect a world class Channel Advantage Program for PTC's indirect sales organization, repeatedly earning industry recognition for outstanding program content, including the "VAR Business 5 Star Ranking" for outstanding program content.
In his new role, Kocis will capitalize on PTC's leadership position across the Asia Pacific region to help fuel the company's growth going forward by focusing on four key priorities. First, he will maintain alignment of PTC's go-to-market model to ensure the company continues to deliver the right solutions to help solve critical product development problems facing PTC customers today. Secondly, he will maintain superior support services by leveraging the best technical resources available in the industry. Third, he will expand the company's partner ecosystem to drive increased value to customers by broadening the capabilities offered through a PTC engagement. Lastly, he will continue to drive operational excellence across the Asia Pacific region to ensure that doing business with PTC is as simple and easy as possible.

Prior to joining PTC, Kocis was in sales management at Nalco Chemical Company. Kocis attended the US Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York where he earned a BS in Marine Engineering. He also graduated Naval Nuclear Power School.
