Tokyo Ohka Kogyo to Expand LCD Material Lineup in China
The joint venture will invest 400 million yen ($3.4 mil) to set up a remover production facility at the plant by April 2006.
Tokyo (JCN) Jan 23, 2006 -?Tokyo Ohka Kogyo (TOK) announced on January 23 that it will expand the LCD material lineup of Chang Chun TOK (Changshu), a joint venture it established with Changchun Petrochemical of Taiwan in October 2004.
Chang Chun TOK currently produces semiconductor and LCD thinner and photoresist developer. Plans call for adding LCD remover to the product lineup for commercial production in June 2006.
The joint venture will invest 400 million yen ($3.4 mil) to set up a remover production facility at the plant by April 2006. It will supply LCD remover to LCD panel makers that are engaged in production in China, where LCD production as well as investment in LCD production are expected to grow.
