Kingsoft To Provide Free Anti-virus Software To Enterprise Users
Chinese Internet security company Kingsoft Network has launched a free anti-virus software for enterprise users.
The software is called Kingsoft Duba enterprise edition 2012 and its unveiling marks Kingsoft's new strategy of providing enterprise-level products for free, following its launch of free editions of personal products.
According to Kingsoft Network, the new Kingsoft Duba enterprise edition 2012 has been optimized and it is now only 40 megabytes. Meanwhile, the new product introduces cloud computing services and integrates Kingsoft's cloud defense module, which enables a cloud anti-virus function.
Prior to the launch of this new product, Kingsoft has been operating paid enterprise products; and this new product represents its shift of marketing strategy for enterprise products. However, it is still common for Internet security companies to provide paid enterprise products in China.
