Qoros Auto Co. has ordered dual-clutch and manual transmissions from Getrag Group for use in the first Qoros brand model, according to Getrag.
Getrag will launch production of the dual-clutch gearboxes in 2013 in its factory in Nanchang in central China's Jiangxi province.
Qoros, a 50-50 joint venture of Chinese automaker Chery Automobile Co. and Israeli investment firm Israel Corp., plans to start selling vehicles in China and western Europe in 2013.
