Bentley's China sales nearly double in 2011
Volkswagen AG says its Bentley luxury brand nearly doubled its China sales in 2011 to 1,839 units.
China accounted for 26 percent of Bentley's global sales last year, enough to surpass the United Kingdom as the brand's second-largest market. The United States is still Bentley's biggest market.
In 2011, Bentley added the two-door Continental GT to its Chinese lineup, which also includes the four-door Mulsanne and Continental Flying Spur.
The company also expanded its dealership network in China by a third last year.
