Dow Chemical partner to open polyurethane plant in east China
Kumpulan Jebco, a Malaysian-based partner of Dow Chemical Co., plans to open an $8 million (50 million yuan) polyurethane plant in the east China city of Yangzhou in February.
Jebco has a licensing agreement with U.S. supplier Dow Chemical to produce Autothane polyurethane, a material used in chassis and suspension components to dampen noise, vibration and harshness in vehicles.
Dow Chemical also manufactures Authothane in Europe, North America, India, Korea and Malaysia. Jebco has produced Authothane for the ASEAN region since 1996.
