Freudenberg builds plant in Changchun
Freudenberg Sealing Technologies is building a plant in Changchun to produce components for dual clutch transmissions.
The facility will produce hydraulic piston accumulators for customer Volkswagen AG. The plant will be a copy of Freudenberg's factory in Remagen, Germany, which supplies the same component to VW.
Parent company Freudenberg-NOK is a partnership between Freudenberg & Co. in Germany and NOK Corp. in Japan. The company produces seals, fuel systems and engine components.
Last year, Freudenberg-NOK's global sales of original equipment totaled $401 million (2.5 billion yuan).
