Nissan To Place Infiniti Headquarters In H.K.
Nissan Motor Co. said Wednesday it will establish a headquarters for its Infiniti brand in Hong Kong to boost the sales of the luxury brand cars in growing markets, including China.
The major automaker will establish a new company in April and operate it as the headquarters for the brand by bringing together global marketing, sales and supervisory functions that are scattered across Japan, the United States and Europe, it said. About 100 personnel are expected to work there.
Nissan has sold some 146,000 units under the Infiniti brand in the U.S. and European markets in fiscal 2010. The company plans to raise its sales to 500,000 units by fiscal 2016 by targeting emerging markets
