ProLogis to Develop Major Distribution Facility for Adidas in China

ProLogis announced today that it will develop a major new distribution facility in China for Adidas, one of the world's premier makers of athletic footwear, apparel and other sporting goods.

SHANGHAI, China, Dec. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ProLogis (NYSE: PLD), a leading global provider of distribution facilities and services, announced today that it will develop a major new distribution facility in China for Adidas, one of the world's premier makers of athletic footwear, apparel and other sporting goods.

ProLogis, through a previously announced joint venture, will lease more than 646,000-square-feet (60,000 square meters) to Adidas at ProLogis Park Suzhou, located within Suzhou Industrial Park, one of the China's key manufacturing and? distribution hubs.? The park is 50% owned by ProLogis' equity joint-venture partner, Suzhou Logistics Centre Co., Ltd.

The building will function as a new national distribution center for Adidas, primarily serving markets in mainland China.? An existing ProLogis customer at the park, Adidas will relocate from a smaller 172,000-square-foot (16,000 square meters) facility when the new building is completed, expected in the second half of 2006.? Adidas also leases approximately 500,000 square feet (46,450 square meters) of distribution space from ProLogis in the U.S. in metro Cincinnati.

As previously announced, ProLogis obtained exclusive development rights for logistics facilities at Suzhou Industrial Park under its joint venture with Suzhou Logistics Centre Co., Ltd., signed in 2004.? Other ProLogis global customers at the park include L'Oreal, Samsung, UPS and Nokia.
