Mitsubishi recalls vehicles in China
Japanese automaker Mitsubishi Motors Corporation filed a report with China's quality inspection authority on Wednesday to recall some of its 2011 Mitsubishi ASX (Active Sports Xover) cars.
The recall, which is set to begin next Tuesday, affects five imported 2011 Mitsubishi ASX vehicles manufactured on July 15, 2010 in China, the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (SAQSIQ) said in a statement on its website.
The automaker said faulty installation of the skylight's glass could lead to the glass being shredded due to an infirm bond created by continuous driving and increased safety risks.
Car owners can call the company on the hotline 800-820-6630 or contact the SAQSIQ at 010-59799616. The manufacturer will repair the faulty components at no charge, according to the statement.
