FAW to unveil small car at Shanghai auto show
China FAW Group Corp. plans to unveil the B30, a new subcompact model under the state-owned automaker's Besturn brand, at the Shanghai auto show in April.
The B30 will feature a platform and engine developed by FAW, according to the company's Web site. Later this year, the subcompact will go on sale for 80,000 yuan ($12,100).
Additional details about the B30 are not available.
FAW also will display an upgraded version of the Besturn B70 mid-sized sedan, which is based on the Mazda 6.
In 2010, Besturn B70 sales declined 5 percent to 49,676 units.
