Honda to recall City and Fit cars in China
The joint venture between Honda Motor Co and Guangzhou Automobile Group Co will start a recall of 156,302 cars in China from Feb 25 to fix engine faults.
It is part of Honda's global recall of nearly 700,000 cars due to the same problem.
The recall in China will affect about 41,000 of the Fit model made between January 2008 and January 2010, and more than 115,000 of its City cars made between April 2008 and January 2010.
Last month, Honda's China sales increased 13 percent over January 2010 to 65,680 cars. The company said previously that it plans to sell 730,000 vehicles this year in China, up 12 percent from last year's 646,600 units.
