BYD falls short of sales target
BYD Co said last week that the 520,000 cars it sold fell short of its 2010 target by 80,000 vehicles. More than half of its sales were the F3 compact model.
Its annual growth of 15.5 percent also lagged behind the overall Chinese car market, which grew 30 percent last year.
The fast-growing domestic carmaker initially planned to double its yearly sales to 800,000 cars at the beginning of last year, but cut the goal to 600,000 in the second half as demand weakened.
