Exporting opportunities to China
China’s recent re-evaluation of its currency, the yuan, indicates that it is rapidly opening its doors to a more free economy.
AUSTRALIAN companies serious about doing business globally are being urged to attend a China Guangdong-Australia business conference to be held next month in Sydney, November 8.
Organisers of the one day conference, the Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, Guangdong Province are expecting over 1,000 attendees including the main leaders of Guangdong province, its cities and departments.
“Information technology, infrastructure, chemistry, environmental and logistical services are resources that Guangdong needs and is keen to source from Australian businesses,” said a Guangdong spokesperson .
“We wish to work hand in hand with those Australian businesses no matter what their size that can provide us with these particular services.”
China’s recent re-evaluation of its currency, the yuan, indicates that it is rapidly opening its doors to a more free economy. Australian exporting companies that don’t enter these doors may well be doing themselves a disfavour, says Chris Gibbs Stewart, general manager of international trade at Australian Business Limited, who will be assisting with business matching opportunities.
