Shanghai GM recalls 7,400 Cadillacs to fix airbag sensors
Shanghai General Motors Co. will recall 7,900 imported Cadillac CTS sedans to repair faulty sensor pads that could cause front-passenger air bags to malfunction, the state-owned Xinhua news service said.
The vehicles were built between March 2004 and June 2007, China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said in a statement on its Web site.
GM will launch the recall on Feb. 2. The company will not charge car owners for the repairs.
