China's first batch of new-energy cars to go on sale
The first batch of 585 new-energy cars that have followed the traditional JAC Tojoy model will be put on sale in Anhui Province at the end of November. The market price for the new-energy cars will be 65,000 yuan after deducting national and municipal-level subsidies.
Zhang Xinhuai, director of the Product Planning Department of JAC Motors Technology Center, said: "The annual fuel cost for traditional cars probably stands at 8,000 yuan, but the cost will be one-fourth if the car is powered by electricity."
As one of the indispensable supporting facilities of electric cars, special electric charging stations are currently under construction.
