SAIC To Unveil Roewe 750 Hybrid Car
Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation has announced that it will unveil its Roewe 750 hybrid car at the end of 2010.
The 1.8L new energy car has a fuel-saving factor of around 20% and is scheduled to hit the market later this year.
The Roewe 750 is powered by a lithium-ion battery.
In addition, SAIC's Roewe 550 plug-in hybrid vehicle will be launched in 2012. The this model has a fuel-saving factor of 50% compared to conventional cars.
SAIC said it will continue to promote the supply chain for key auto parts and components of new energy vehicles, as it aims to become a leading producer of new energy vehicles in China and to compete on the world market.
