Chrysler To Recall 67 Imported Wrangler Models In China

According to China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, Chrysler Group China Sales Ltd. has decided to recall 67 imported cars in mainland China — the latest in a recent spate of recalls.

The quality watchdog said that the recall, which is scheduled to begin on September 10, 2010, will involve imported Wrangler (3.8L) and Wrangler Unlimited (3.8L) models that were produced between April 22, 2010 and May 19, 2010.

Chrysler China's sales company said that the recall is due to a brake system problem which was caused by a faulty manufacturing process. The fault might cause dangerous problems without any warning.

The company has said it would examine and replace the brake systems free of charge.
