Lexus Cars Recalled In China
According to China's State Administration of Quality Supervision Inspection and Quarantine, the Japanese auto maker Toyota Motor Corporation will start recalling 5,791 imported Lexus cars in China on July 19, 2010.
The recall in China is part of the Japanese auto maker's global recall of 270,000 Lexuses to fix engine's valve spring defects that could cause cars to stall while running.
The defective luxury cars are the imported Lexus LS460, Lexus LS460L and Lexus LS600hL models, which were produced between 2006 and 2008.
Toyota has said it will replace the defective valve springs with reinforced springs.
