800 million yuan Chery test center
Domestic carmaker Chery opened an automobile test center in its home base Wuhu, Anhui province last Saturday.
The company has now invested more than 800 million yuan in the facility that covers an area of 300,000 sq m.
The new center has seven laboratories and a test track. Its crash lab is the largest in Asia.
The company said it plans to build a 10-sq km testing ground, which will also be the largest in Asia when completed.
