Toyota sales up 37% in China
In the first four months of 2010, Toyota revealed 242,000 units of sales in China, up 37 percent year-on-year, said Toyota China's spokesman Liu Peng.
He noted that Toyota has set a sales target of 800,000 units in China this year.
"In 2010, Toyota will introduce new models, including a hybrid version of Camry and Alpha MPV, to China, in order to guarantee its continual growth," Liu said.
Liu said that in the past months, Toyota's sales in China have kept growing and the company is getting out from under the shadow of the recall incident.
Yesterday, Japan's Ministry of Finance released the newest data on the country's exports. Automakers, including Toyota, revealed 103 percent growth in auto exports.
