ACAE to seek suppliers for engine of China's first jumbo jet
The main force behind China's large aircraft engine project, the AVIC Commercial Engine Company (ACAE), announced on April 6 that it will soon start seeking partners from around the world to become suppliers for the project.
ACAE will seek suppliers for China's first domestically-made jumbo jet with independent intellectual property rights. In addition, ACAE will establish a study group in April to first evaluate domestic suppliers and then foreign suppliers according to the project requirements.
ACAE plans to gather information on major potential suppliers in 2010 and will send out the request for proposals (RFP) at the beginning of 2011.
