BYD to display five new gasoline models at Beijing auto show
BYD Auto Co. will display five new gasoline models at the Beijing auto show to be held later this month.

The five new models are the L3 and I6 compact sedans, the M6 MPV, the G6 full-size sedan and the S6 SUV, a spokesperson of the company confirmed to Automotive News China.
These new models will be priced higher than BYD's existing products which are mostly sold for below 80,000 yuan ($11,713). They will be put on sale after the Beijing auto show.
In addition to these new models, BYD will also show its existing gasoline models F6, F3 and F0 and G3 and three alternative energy vehicles including the F3DM and F6DM plug-in hybrids and the e6 pure electric vehicle.
Power by BYD's own lithium ion battery pack, the e6 has a range of 300 km and a top speed of 160 km per hour, according to information available on the company's Web site.
BYD sold 445,097 cars in 2009, all gasoline models. The company aims to boost its sales to 800,000 units this year.
