Hengrui Medicine posts soaring net profit in '09
Jiangsu Hengrui Medicine Co, China's largest manufacturing base of antineoplastics and the nation-appointed stupefacient manufacturer, said Monday (2010-02-08)its net profit in 2009 surged 59.16 percent year-on-year.
In its annual report of 2009 to the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the company said its net profit for 2009 hit 693 million yuan ($101 million).
Hengrui said 2009 business revenue reached 3.03 billion yuan, up 26.6 percent year-on-year, with earnings per share stood at 1.07 yuan, up 57.4 percent from a year earlier.
Hengrui attributed rising profits to newly added sales outlets, technological innovations as well as good image built by participating in public welfare activities nationwide.
Hengrui's shares opened slightly higher at 46.77 yuan per share on Monday morning, up 0.02 percent from the previous closing.
